Aug 09, 2012 - KAULIUS FAMILY PETITIONING FOR CHANGE TO DRUNK DRIVING PENALTIES

The family of a young woman who was killed by a drink driver last year is calling for changes in the penalties for drunk drivers.

Kassandra Kaulius was just 22 when the car she was driving was hit.

The driver of the car that smashed into her has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing death, and driving with a blood alcohol level in excess of .08.

Kassandra's family now wants changes to sentencing rules.

Today they delivered a petition to Federal MP Mark Warawa, calling for mandatory minimum sentences for drunk driving.
