Feb 18, 2015 - SENTENCING DELAYED IN FATAL RED DEER CRASH [Jonathon Wood]

Dozens of family members and friends of a man killed in a collision in west Red Deer left court disappointed today.

This after sentencing for 19-year-old Tyler Wilson was delayed.

Wilson pleaded guilty in December to one count of dangerous driving causing death in the November 2013 crash that killed Jon Wood. He was the lone passenger in a taxi cab that was struck from behind at the intersection of 32 Street and 30 Avenue.

A count of impaired driving causing death against Wilson was dropped.

Sentencing did not take place today because not enough time was available to have the high number of victim impact statements read in court.

Wilson will remain in custody until a new sentencing date is set.
