Oct 31, 2016 - DRUNK DRIVER TURNED ADVOCATE HAS A MESSAGE FOR THOSE WHO DRINK AND DRIVE

WATCH ABOVE: Mothers Against Drunk Driving are putting out a sobering message this Halloween. They're pleading with people not to get behind the wheel if they're impaired. As Jill Croteau reports, a drunk driver who barely survived a fatal crash hopes his story makes a lasting impression.

Randy Fowler takes every opportunity he gets to spread a message that begs repeating: don’t drink and drive.

His severely injured body and brain are constant symbols of regret, even 33 years after a crash that killed his best friend.

Fowler was behind the wheel of his truck after a night of partying. Nobody was wearing a seatbelt.

He suffered a life-altering injury.

As Jill Croteau reports above, he hopes his story makes a lasting impression to anyone who thinks about drinking and driving.
