Nov 06, 2012 - WEST END PROMENADERS DONATION TO MADD

On Tuesday, November 6th, the West Edmonton Promenaders held a special dance to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of their Dance Club.

It was held at the West Edmonton Seniors’ Centre and a large crowd attended including many of their members, former members and a large number of square dancers from the Edmonton area.

The Club’s Executive had decided that it would donate the proceeds of this special dance to the Edmonton Chapter of MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving).

Following the program and distribution of some Anniversary cake to the attendees, the President Couple, Tedd and Mildred Brulotte presented a cheque in the amount of $614.00 to Ms. Leila Moulder from MADD.

Both Ms. Moulder and George Marrinier (Bradley's Grandfather), a long standing square dancer, expressed their thanks to the West Edmonton Promenaders and all the dancers for their most generous donation.  The funds will certainly be appreciated.
