Meanwhile, a Facebook memorial page has been set up for Brad, 34, and Krista Howe, 35, both of Red Deer.

The couple died after their eastbound car and a pickup southbound on 30th Avenue at Ironstone Drive collided. The couple were pronounced dead at the scene by fire-medics.

The driver of the pickup was treated and released from hospital. RCMP arrested him and took him into custody Sunday.

RCMP spokeswoman Sabrina Grunow said police are still investigating the accident, which occurred at a signalled intersection. Police are asking that anyone who saw the accident or the vehicles prior to the collision to call RCMP at 403-343-5575.
