Feb 24, 2012 - JOHNATHAN PRATT MAKES SECOND APPEARANCE IN COURT

Appearing via CCTV from the Fort Saskatchewan Correctional Centre with crutches in hand, Johnathan Pratt made his second appearance in Leduc Provincial Court on Feb. 16.

Pratt is charged in connection with the alleged drunk driving incident that killed 18-year-olds Bradley Arsenault, Kole Novak and 22-year-old Thaddeus Lake

More than 30 friends and family members of the three men who lost their lives in the accident outside of Beaumont on Nov. 26 showed up for Pratt’s appearance.

Pratt is facing three counts of impaired operation causing death, three counts of driving while over the legal blood alcohol limit of 0.08 mg causing death and three counts of manslaughter.

None of Pratt’s charges were spoken to as duty counsel James Arends, appearing as an agent for Pratt’s lawyer, asked the charges be adjourned until Mar. 15, so the disclosure could be looked over more thoroughly.

He will appear via CCTV on Mar. 15.
