Jun 22, 2013 - FIRST BEAUMONT BLUES RUN FUNDRAISER TO HIT THE GROUND RUNNING

For a number of years Beaumont resident Bonnie Jordan has wanted to host a fundraising run in the community, but several questions have plagued her.

“Where should I do it, for what cause should I do it for?” questioned Jordan.

After doing some research and soul searching Jordan found her answer.

On Saturday, June 22 beginning at 9 a.m. the first Blues Run, a 5 km run/walk, will go with all the proceeds going to Mothers Against Drinking and Driving [MADD] Canada.

The November 2011 drinking and driving tragedy that claimed the lives of three young local youth – Bradley Arsenault, Kole Novak and Thaddeus Lake - was the basis of her motivation to have the run done to raise more awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving and to honour the three.
